Tribute

Kirsty began The Retail Nurse in 2010 by selling clothing on eBay which evolved into her Facebook page in 2012 selling Orla Kiely, Emma Bridgewater, Boden, and other nik-naks she thought others would want, but not need. After moving to Cornwall in 2010, she'd look after us during the day and work till 2am sorting out orders, getting them packaged up ready for post collection.  She put her heart and soul into the business, and we can only try to do it justice for the short time we'll be running it. We hope that even after the business has concluded, you continue to remember our mom for both what she sold and how she interacted with everyone online and in the flesh.

We'd like to reiterate our thanks to everyone that shared their thoughts and feelings with us in the hours, days, weeks, and months since mom's death, it really does mean a lot to know so many people cared for her and grieved with us.

This website won't hold a candle to how our mom interacted with you, her customers, but we hope to at least conclude the business in a fair, friendly manner and put her stock into people's hands rather than let it collect dust indefinitely.

We will be donating at least 5% of our sales both here and in the shop on Lemon Street to Cornwall Hospice Care, to thank them for looking after our mom, and in the hope that others will be able to access palliative care at the same standard as she did. We also have a collection bucket for Cancer Research UK in our shop.
